We work to give back by sharing our professional expertise with others through leadership and participation in local schools and organizations. Since 2007, Owner, Phil Calinda has chaired the Education Committee of the Community Builders & Remodelers Association (CBRA) of NJ (now known as Metro). The CBRA offers over 80 classes and numerous professional certification exams which have allowed more than 225 students from across the country to improve and succeed in their field.
In addition to his educational activities, Phil also participates in a number of local, state and national association committees, as well as local civic activities. In recent years, Phil has been involved with the following organizations:

- Community Builders & Remodelers Association (CBRA)

With more than 100 people looking on, Phil Calinda was sworn in last night for his second term as president of the Metropolitan Builders and Contractors Association of New Jersey. Emcee Michael Borodinsky stepped aside to let Phil’s brother, Constantino, administer the oath of office. Phil acknowledged the work of the outgoing board and talked about the depth of Metro’s commitment to its members, to the industry and to the community. Several past presidents also were introduced at the event. Their presence, said Phil, underscored the continuing commitment to the organization and its goals.

On September 19, 2016, Phil had the honor of presenting U.S. Representative Leonard Lance, R-7, the Defender of Housing award from the Metropolitan Builders and Contractors Association of New Jersey for his work on issues that keep homes affordable and available. Read the full press release here.
